Polka Dot Earrings

I bought a new dress from work that I thought would be useful for a few things coming up, one of which was the swing dance at the Masonic Temple with my dad this past Saturday.  I decided to make a pair of polka dot earrings to match the dress....

Michigan Cherries 1

In preparation for May 4th's My Arts Night Out in Old Town I've been working on some pieces that are Michigan-inspired and came about from a quick chat with Rhea, the owner of Old Town General Store.  She suggested some pieces with cherries on them (a popular product of Michigan) and I jumped at the idea.

This Bangle can be purchased HERE

I usually don't work much in red, but I am LOVING this set I just finished.  I have another wide bangle idea also in the works. Certainly come by Old Town in May and see these pieces (or just say hi and peruse Rhea's awesome General Store!)

Ginkgo Leaf Bangle 1

This Ginkgo Leaf Bangle came about in some planning for My Arts night Out with Rhea at Old Town General Store.  I've been thinking that making some pieces specially for this event would break me out of the more basic designs I've been doing.  So I asked Rhea what her favorite plants were and Ginkgo was the first one she said without skipping a beat.

I've only worn this bangle out once, today it juried into the Ann Arbor Fiberarts Guild's Runway Show for Fiber Feast.  I'll have it back by May 4th though for First Friday's Art Night Out.

I really enjoyed playing with the shapes and colors of this design and I imagine I'll be using it again soon.

The next bangle(s) I'm making for My Arts Night Out are leaning towards Old Town General Store's Michigan theme with some Michigan Cherries.

very hard to not jump in the light box or push beads on the floor.)

Double Hive Bangle in Teal, Turquoise and Grey

Spring has been poking around here and there and some brighter colors seemed to perk up my beading productivity.  I recently finished this double hive bangle with 4 filler colors and matching earrings.

Due to how the pattern falls with the hive bangles, this one ran a few beads wider than my usual bangle designs.

This double hive bangle can be purchased HERE.

The Teal Hive Earrings can be purchased HERE.

With shows coming up, I've been wanting a good fill for my tiny bangle stands, so any beads that are sitting in my travel trays are game to be stitched into my layering pieces.  I've finished a number of them recently.

Vintage Rainbow Circlet Earrings and Bangle

This color combination started with just the earrings, but I couldn't help make a bangle to match. A few new seed bead colors always mak...
